Restaurant
Concept projectNorra
A fine-dining site built around reservations, ambiance, and a menu that feels as considered as the food.
The Project
Norra is a self-directed concept project — not a live client site — built to explore what a fine-dining restaurant's website should feel like when it's treated with the same care as the menu itself.
The Challenge
Fine-dining sites often either over-decorate with heavy imagery and slow-loading galleries, or under-deliver with a generic template that undersells the experience. The goal was a site that feels considered and calm, the way the restaurant itself would want to be experienced, without slowing the visitor down.
The Approach
The design leans on typography and quiet pacing rather than heavy visual effects, structured around the two things a fine-dining visitor actually needs: a clear sense of the experience, and an easy way to reserve a table.
- Reservation-first layout — booking a table is never more than one step away
- Typography-led design that lets the menu and copy carry the atmosphere
- Minimal, purposeful imagery instead of a heavy photo gallery
- Fully responsive build, tested for a phone-first reservation flow
The Result
As a concept project, Norra doesn't have live traffic or booking data. It was designed to make reserving a table feel effortless while giving the restaurant's atmosphere room to come through in the design itself.
